Who knows why, but, even with the down economy throughout the last several years, people, more than ever are taking to the skies and learning how to fly.  Unusual, but true!  While many folks are unemployed, those with jobs and money to spare are suddenly going after their lifelong desires to fly.  When it comes to flight training services, there are many to choose from, depending on where you reside . But the teaching techniques  and instruction practices used by the many services are actually very dissimilar.

When learning to fly any aircraft , it would feel clear that flight safety is  paramount and should be the overall top consideration. Whether you’re a beginning student pilot or already up to advanced flight training, you may not be getting  all the proper instruction you need.  For me in the Seattle area, I think that Rainier Flight Service, a Seattle Flight Training Service gives you the best service for the cost.  Of course, it is critical to learn your way around an airplane , as well as all the necessary technical techniques and skills you need to learn. But after sitting through a presentation given by Rainier Flight Service, I was immensely impressed with their approach to flight training.  While learning to fly, safety and preparation are always going to be key .  But many services spend an unreasonable amount of time teaching you skills and maneuvers to handle a flight emergency and fend off a disaster.  While this is certainly critical to your learning experience, Rainier takes it a step further by emphasizing all the ins and outs of safety first and foremost.  Their approach is that if you can learn, understand and truly know HOW to avoid an emergency first, then the chances  of needing to use your emergency skills will be dramatically reduced.

For me, their approach is safety-centric and I value that.  Now don’t get me wrong!  Of course learning to fly will in the end require that you have collected quality flight hours.  You will need to learn everything possible to avoid danger and correct any emergency situation.  But Rainier’s approach of first learning all you need to stay safe, followed by handling an emergency situation, is the best.  So if you live in the northwest outside of Tacoma or in the Seattle area, I am very impressed with Rainier.  Of the many Flight Schools in Seattle, and there are a lot, I strongly recommend these guys.
