Thirty thousand feet and in need of nourishment
We all become hungry and in addition possibly more so whenever our own journeys are long.
On the other hand what do you like to eat? Are you, as a virtual flyer hooked on snacks, like peanuts and crisps or do you prefer to pause the flight and go get some proper nourishment out of the the kitchen area?
If you are a frequent flyer, you know just what to be expecting when it comes to standards within the culinary area, everything from cold sandwiches to warm baguettes, from all day breakfast to stuffed roasted chicken, beef, turkey as well as even side servings of salad pertaining to the vegetarian. With so much available and on offer it can be tough to think anything other than warmth toward the airline for going to all this trouble, quite possibly when you are advised there is a price to pay.
A number of folk actually love the airline food on offer whilst others hate it with a passion, and sure I said Hate not Ate! Do we expect too much when heading on a corporate trip or perhaps flying away for that two week leisure vacation to the Mediterranean? Actually consider for a minute, you could be thirty thousand feet off the ground and you have got an opportunity to eat! Whenever placed such as that the idea can sound incredible, however it is definitely still some thing we all take for granted.
Times have altered for the air travel marketplace, no more days associated with highly rich individuals being the principal benefactor of this kind of luxury, and that is just the actual flying never mind the extras you could anticipate when on board the aircraft. In today’s modern era every person can be in a rush to get from A – B with the littlest sum of bother, all of us all look more for safety, attention and hospitality aboard an aircraft and in particular quality, therefore when the modest but deceptively big trolley arrives trundling down the centre aisle, it is just one of the Major times we have been waiting for, it’s food time!
That aside, have you at any time wondered what the crew eat?
Perhaps surprisingly, the taste buds connected with the crew are in many cases quite equivalent to the passenger, this being easy foods, served simply. You will still get the five star cordon bleu treatment on several airlines yet for the majority it is generally a matter of cutting open the different wrappers ahead of realising you have absolutely no where to place it, therefore that ends up within the magazine holder in front of you.
We have looked at airline food and in particular crew food. So right here are a couple of illustrations, see if you could find out which airlines the foodstuff on display applies too.

This appeared to be a pretty special crew meal for all of us, as this flight was the first flight for (GUESS THE AIRLINE) First A321, reg D-ALAO, leased through Aero Lloyd. The Captain and First Officer delivered us all a couple of frozen pizzas, and as the “spare” crew member for that flight (I was non-revving just to fly for the day) I got to cook it. Many thanks guys!

Amazing bit of meat; juicy as well as tender and prepared to perfection! Good char-grilled flavour yet not too overpowering. Potato pieces made a nice change from the usual roast-potatoes and the onion gravy really complemented the entire dish. The vegetables were a little “mushy” however the spinach was fabulous! (GUESS THE AIRLINE)
Did you work out what provider the actual respective offerings came from?
Well with out giving too much away one was from British Airways and the other Ryan Air. I will leave the remainder to your own judgement!
If you’re still sat wondering what to have to eat while at your flight simulator, it may be time to pause and put the kettle on…
